Editor’s Letter: The April Issue
California represents an air of elevated ease: elevated in its sophistication, ease in its embodiment of a relaxed lifestyle.”
Our April feature STYLE BLUEPRINT is inspired by the elevated ease of new California. Functional and effortless yet beautiful in design, we were captivated by the modern architecture of Palm Springs—which blurs the line between indoor and outdoor living. From blue patterns and color palettes to clean lines and functional design, STYLE BLUEPRINT lays the groundwork for a foundational spring wardrobe designed for a life with no boundaries.
We were completely riveted by the modernity of the Desert House, where we shot the campaign—and jumped at the chance to interview the famed California architect Jim Jennings about his vision for the space and his philosophy on design as a whole. “California represents an air of elevated ease: elevated in its sophistication, ease in its embodiment of a relaxed lifestyle,” Jennings told us.
Our love for California, where our company was founded in 1978, was also reflected behind the scenes. We proudly teamed up with a green and carbon-neutral production company to create a sustainable shoot by reducing our carbon impact on the environment. The shoot was powered with renewable energy and used sustainable catering services to minimize plastic and waste.
