Lost in the Desert: A Note on Joshua Tree National Park

As it merges the Mojave and Colorado deserts, begins the surreal ecosystem known as Joshua Tree National ParkNamed after a distinct native tree that has uniquely odd features including twisted, spikey branches concluded in large blade-like leaves. As unworldly as its appearance is the origin of its name. Believed to have been named by Mormon settlers that were making their way across the desert, inspired by the west-facing outstretched branches, they choose the biblical figure name, Joshuametaphorically representing his conquest of the desert.

Apart from the spiritual association, dwellers and visitors of the national park have always attributed a mystical nature to the surroundings. Inspiring songs written in its name, art works created in its image and poems narrating its ethereal landscape.

Such as the numerous individuals inspired by the 792,623 acres of wilderness, we too found meaning along the sand dunes, speaking to a journey of an imagination falling on the mist of the horizon. In our latest campaign the fantastical atmosphere illustrates our lust for exploration—physically and internally—as we venture out of a year like no other. Join us on this voyage with images of the divine place known as Joshua Tree.
